A terrifying fire broke out in Dubai’s 67-storey Marina Pinnacle, also known as Tiger Tower, late Friday night. Thanks to the quick action by emergency teams, all 3,820 residents were evacuated safely — without any reported injuries.
Residents woke up to chaos

One of the residents, Nishit Sharma, a man from Bengaluru, India, shared his experience on Instagram. He wrote,
“We were sleeping peacefully when the alarm went off. I was with my wife. Luckily, we got out just in time.”
His chilling video showed flames tearing through the upper floors of the tower, sending embers and burning debris down to the street. The video quickly went viral, showing how close many residents were to danger.
Firefighters battled the blaze for 6 hours
According to Dubai Civil Defence, the fire raged for nearly six hours before being brought under control. Despite the intensity, no casualties or serious injuries were reported. The fire mainly affected the upper floors, and thick smoke filled the air for hours.
The Dubai Media Office (DMO) confirmed in a statement on X:
“Specialised teams successfully evacuated all residents from the 67-storey building, prioritising their health and safety throughout the operation.”
Medical and mental health support on-site
Emergency crews, including ambulance and medical staff, remained on-site throughout the night. They provided medical and psychological support to the residents who had just escaped a life-threatening situation.
To make sure no one is left stranded, the authorities are working with the building’s developer to arrange temporary housing for the affected residents.
Transport disruption and past incidents
As a precaution, tram services between Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah were temporarily suspended. A shuttle bus service was introduced to ensure public safety and continued connectivity.
This incident is not the first at Marina Pinnacle. Back in May 2015, a kitchen fire on the 47th floor had also led to a similar emergency. However, this time, the response was faster, more coordinated, and more effective.
Authorities investigate the cause
At this point, the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation. Safety inspections are ongoing to determine if the building structure has been affected. Fortunately, surrounding buildings remained safe and were not damaged.
Human resilience meets emergency preparedness
This event has once again shown how prepared and professional Dubai’s emergency services are. It also reminded the world that despite modern architecture, fire safety must always be a priority.
Thanks to alert residents and fast responders, what could have been a major tragedy turned into a powerful story of survival.
